Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam – Arizona

Hi Folks,

I do not know whether you have heard of Mr. Hoover. Apparently he was keen on building stuff and cleaning. One of the best inventions in the world is named after him. I guess he was a little bit up-tight: “Keep off Wall”. A bit rude I would say. The word “please” would have done it for me. Hoover Dam, yeah dude!

Grand Canyon - North Rim

Grand Canyon North Rim – Arizona

Hi Folks,

This is amazing. I mean, the artcrafts in MoMA have no comparison to this view. Do you hike? No, well maybe you should! Go before it’s too late. Be sure to take enough water with you. And look out for rattlesnakes, scorpions and especially the squirrels which are possibly more dangerous than the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Bringing your own grenades is not necessary though. Grand Canyon is just great place to visit.

Salt Lake Temple - Salt Lake City

Salt Lake Temple – Salt Lake City

Hi Folks,

I visited one of the strangest cities, Salt Lake City. The main city attraction is the Mormons’ head quarters called Salt Lake Temple. I have heard that there is a musical about Joseph Smith and Mormons on Broadway; I will definitely have to see it to learn more about these weird people. About the photo, you can see me on the edge of the pool (yes, the small white dot wearing a red beanie).

Pinedale - Wyoming

Pinedale – Wyoming

Hi Folks,

I took this photo few miles south from Pinedale. The area is bautiful. Of course I would prefer a public transport but folks, around here you have to have your own horse. If you can’t ride, a car will do. Pinedale’s motto is: “All the Civilization You Need”. I believe that says it all.

Graceland Memphis Home of Elvis Presley

Graceland – Memphis

Hi Folks,

Greetings from Memphis, Tennessee. I visited my pal Elvis Presley in Graceland. Hung out with the white pet monkey. We got along very well although the monkey was not the talkative type. Kicking back relaxing at my homies entertainment room – almost perfect, if only the king had not left the building yet.

U.S. Route 66

U.S. Route 66 – Nilwood, Illinois

Hi Folks,

I got the feeling that the Agency had found out my location so I decided to seek protection from Iron Sleds Motorcycle Club in Nilwood. Nobody was home so I made the only rational thing and continued my journey to Graceland. I must say that although U.S. Route 66 is one of the Great American Road Trips, it’s not as great as it used to be. When I was driving my T-Ford from Chicago to Santa Monica, Califormia in November 1926, Route 66 (or Bloody 66 as I call it), I really got my kicks. Nowadays part of the original route is not accessible and modern cars lack character. Nonetheless, there are not many things that beats a drive along the former Main Street of America, the historical Mother Road.

Buckingham Fountain - Chicago

Buckingham Fountain – Chicago

Hi Folks,

Buckingham Fountain is Chicago’s landmark and one of the largest fountains in the world. The fountain shoots water up vertically to nearly 50 meters. Not bad I would say. A word of advice though, the weather conditions of the “Windy City” may not always be ideal for fountain viewing. Wind may carry the the water hundreds of meters and I quess it is fair to say that Buckingham Fountain is actually the largest lawn sprinkler in the universe.

Michigan Central Station - Detroit

Michigan Central Station – Detroit

Hi Folks,

I found my way to Detroit only to hear the sad news. My old pal Cosmo McMurtry had lost his job when Detroit was declared into bankruptcy. Cosmo had been staying in this deserted passenger depot for a while but the rumor says that he moved to Australia. Cosmo, if you see this post, please leave a comment below and let me know how you are doing these days. I wish better days for the people of Detroit – Keep your head up and never stop trying..!

Niagara Falls - Ontario - Canada

Niagara Falls – Ontario, Canada

Hi Folks,

I figured I had not better stay around in New York. The Agency’s net was getting too tight. It was only a matter of time when they would have caught me. I took Greyhound to Niagara Falls and crossed to boarder to Canada’s side. I can’t complain, it’s quite nice out here. I will try to find my way to Detroit and visit my old pal Cosmo McMurtry. Keep on rocking and stay tuned!

Statue of Liberty - Liberty Island - New York

Statue of Liberty – New York

Hi Folks,

Since I escaped from MoMA I’ve been hiding. The Agency is after me, they’ve even published wanted posters (see for yourself at www.stopescape.com). As I am finally free I feel that I have the duty and entitlement to make the best of it. I believe there is no better way to begin enjoying the freedom than a ferry trip along Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty. If the Agency does not cach me, you will hear of me on these pages. Wish me luck … and stay tuned!
